Hi friends,
The Brad Barton's need our prayers again. Teresa is in LSU in ICU with myeloid leukemia. I talked with Brad LATE on April 2 (I don't know how these post date wise) and he said they were putting her in ICU for a couple of days. They are doing a procedure to filter her white blood cells out of her blood. It's dangerous for her to have so many floating around in there. She could have a heart attack or stroke, so this is a very necessary step apparently. They were planning to start chemo immediately and she is to have a week of that. (MY understanding was that future treatment would be determined when the other test results come back.)
When she's able to be moved from ICU they'll move her to the sixth floor. They told Brad to plan on being there for at least 5 weeks. She has some more bone marrow tests to endure to determine the extent of her illness and the method of treatment. Please do keep the whole family in your prayers, they have been through so much, but through it all God has sustained them and given them joy and He will continue to do so, I have no doubt.
